Bluegrass Center for Autism’s model is an integrated teaching approach, which begins with a strong foundation in ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) while incorporating Speech- Language Therapy, motor skills training, social skills training, independent living skills, vocational training and functional academics. We offer 1:1 child-instructor ratio in all our teams, resulting in the most intensely individualized instruction available. Community based services are provided with a 1:1 ratio, as well.
Bluegrass Center for Autism understands that children on the autism spectrum are successful when exposed to multiple opportunities to acquire, master, maintain and generalize skills within a variety of settings. We provide our children and young adults with over 100 learning opportunities every hour throughout the day to accelerate the learning process. Our highly structured days deliver an individualized experience to meet each child’s specific needs and promote their learning potential. Bluegrass Center for Autism uses evidence-based treatment approaches to create an intensive therapeutic setting to maximize each child’s ability to communicate, learn, adapt and be successful.
OUR HISTORY
Bluegrass Center for Autism was founded in 2010 in response to the growing need for specialized services for children on the autism spectrum. Originally established as the Academy at Saint Andrews in Louisville, Kentucky, we began our journey in the basement of the Saint Andrews Church.
As the demand for our services increased, we expanded to two locations to serve two distinct age groups. Thanks to Kosair for Kids, Inc.'s support, we established we were able to establish a facility on Bluegrass Parkway in Jeffersontown, where we provide services to children aged two to eleven years old. We also received a generous donation from the Metts family, which allowed us to establish a second location at the Mid-City Mall, serving individuals from twelve to young adulthood.

We are grateful for the support of our community and remain committed to providing the highest quality care and support to individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. Today, Bluegrass Center for Autism is recognized for our dedication to autism treatment and research. While we are proud of our growth, we remain humble and focused on our mission to help individuals with autism reach their full potential.
