Our learners at our Mid City Campus receive a combination of 1:1 and small group instruction throughout their day. For those who need a higher degree of support, programming focuses primarily on a functional curriculum. Greatest concentration is placed on developing and increasing communication, daily living, socialization and vocational competence with instruction in core curriculum subjects. Utilizing the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and Speech Therapy, the acquisition of an effective system of communication is the centerpiece for every child’s individualized program at Bluegrass Center for Autism. Learners who demonstrate readiness may be placed in a small group structure, which provides services to learners who require less intensive support with greater emphasis on generalization and independence.

One of the core components at our Mid City Campus is independent and semi-independent life skills training. Within our 7,000 sq. ft. campus uniquely located in Mid City Mall, learners are prepared to develop the communicative, daily living and job readiness skills required to function as independently as possible. These skills are taught in a “real-world” setting through community-based instruction that extends into the stores and businesses in and around the Mid City Mall, becoming an extension of the Bluegrass Center for Autism’s Mid City Campus.
